As a small child growing up in Virginia Beach, VA with my older brother and parents, I was always drawn to nature as a source for healing. I often spent much time outdoors in our gazebo looking at the calm lake as a form of meditation. Or on the front porch in a rocking chair surrounding by the fresh smell of gardenias to stay grounded.
I ventured off to Virginia State University in 2007 with dreams of becoming a Psychologist. After completing my studies I found that my desire wasn’t a scientific approach but more of a holistic approach considering my clients in the wholeness of themselves rather than just one aspect of life. I later went to Clark Atlanta University and obtained my Masters in Social Work and became a member of the Psychology honor Society Psi Chi in 2014. I currently hold my Licensure of Clinical Social Worker in the states of Georgia, Oregon, New Hampshire, and Maine. I am also a Certified Case Manager.
As a therapist I strive to create a courageous atmosphere for optimal client growth and healing. I allow all clients to utilize this space as their own, bringing their successes, trials, and the fullness of their personal experience. Deciding to start the self work that is needed for therapy is commendable and should applauded. I as your therapist I strive to provide the resources and tools you'll need along your therapeutic journey.
